The California Endowment (TCE) is an organization that strives to expand access to affordable housing, quality health, care for under-served individuals and communities, and promotion of fundamental improvements in the status of all Californians. Backslash was approached as a private consultant by a non-profit organization partnered with TCE to provide visual data translations that can be understood by all Californians. The data visualizations produced by Backslash was solely meant to analyze the resources being accessed or made available to the residents, organizations, and government entities, within San Joaquin Valley. Backslash used the written documents provided by TCE and worked with their partner to produce the visuals that would be necessary to convey the connection of resources to organizations and neighborhoods within specific districts and cities within San Joaquin Valley. This is an ongoing project and we are excited to continue this work for the TCE.
